New 320-bed hospital to be opened in Talas Oblast of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 27, 2020. /Kabar/. During his working trip to Talas Oblast, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov ordered to accelerate work on reconstruction of an abandoned family medicine centre in Kok-Oi village, Talas region, Talas Oblast Governor Marat Murataliyev said Monday at a briefing.

According to his information, the hospital has been idle since 2005 and consists of 5 blocks with a capacity of 160 beds. After the reconstruction, it will be possible to increase the number of beds to 320.

"At present, the reconstruction work is already underway, and the hospital is scheduled to be commissioned by the end of August," the governor noted.

At the same time, Murataliyev noted that a number of other medical facilities have been erected in the oblast.

"Thus, a 25-bed infectious diseases department will open in Kara-Buura village, and construction of a small hospital has already started in Amanbayev village," Governor Murataliyev concluded.
