New acting mayor of Bishkek plans to create municipal bank

Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2021 / Kabar /. Bishkek Mayor's Office plans to create a municipal bank, new acting Mayor Ermek Nurgaziev told at a press conference.

He said that at a meeting with Sadyr Zhaparov, he voiced several options. “Among them there is an option of opening a municipal bank. All assets, income, transfers, settlement accounts of municipal enterprises will be transferred to our bank. It will be easier for us to work through our own bank and communicate with public transport factories for purchasing. We will conduct a good audit of all enterprises of the mayor's office and the budget,” he said.

Nurgaziev noted that funds will be found in the budget for the purchase of new public transport. “I think it will be Russian or European buses. We have already seen Chinese buses,” he said.
