New cluster of experts is forming in Kyrgyzstan: Cabinet Chairman Zhaparov

Bishkek, Nov. 10, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek is hosting the StrategEast State and IT Eurasian Forum, co-organized by the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan.

Head of the Presidential Administration, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov delivered a speech in the solemn opening of the Forum.

He noted today Kyrgyzstan is actively implementing initiatives of digital transformation, where the role of the IT sector is one of the fundamental.

"At present, a new cluster of experts is being formed in Kyrgyzstan - these are digital and IT leaders who act as our national "change agents”. In this regard, analyzing global trends, the public sector is also trying to flexibly respond to trends and challenges of the digital age. For example, the Ministry of Digital Development was established in Kyrgyzstan in 2021. The possibility of forming the IT-image of Kyrgyzstan in the international market among international major players may be pointed out an important feature of the event,” Zhaparov added.

In addition, the head of the Cabinet stressed the importance of such support and back-up for the domestic IT-sphere and digital sector.

"Today the country has a large number of talented young people and experienced experts. Many of them, staying in the country, work for international companies and projects. In this regard, I believe that the agenda of the Forum will be an excellent platform for exchange of analytical and practical experience and best practices," Akylbek Zhaparov said, adding that the Ministry of Digital Development has already been instructed to organize a series of bilateral meetings within the Forum, where representatives of the Hi-Tech Park of Kyrgyzstan and other IT organizations will be able to talk about their potential, advantages, possible joint projects and strategic partnerships.

The StrategEast State and IT Eurasian Forum brought together leaders of the global and Kyrgyz IT industry, high-ranking officials from Eurasian states, the U.S., the European Union, responsible for the development of the IT industry, representatives of more than 50 international organizations, heads of IT associations from Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

The Forum is held once a year in one of the Eurasian capitals and serves as a platform for dialogue between governments and IT industry leaders.
