Brussels, Nov. 20, 2018. /Kabar/. The new agreements of the European Union with the countries of Central Asia are adapted to each state, Managing Director of the Central Asia Department of the European External Action Service Boris Yaroshevich told at a briefing in Brussels.
He said that the EU approaches each country separately, for example, in Kyrgyzstan there is no oil and gas, so the emphasis on energy seems to be brighter.
“In addition, we receive applications from our partners. They bring their package. Therefore, a new agreement with plans is a lengthy negotiation,” he said.
Yaroshevich noted that the three main sections are maintained in all countries.
“This is the policy that is pursued despite the size of the country or its population. Second, trade. There is a wide variation here, because some countries are WTO member, such as Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, and there are EAEU member states as well. I think this is the aspect where the agreements are the most different. And the third is industry, which includes transport, energy, education, etc.,” he added.
Boris Yaroshevich noted that the EU already has such a practice. He stressed that everything here depends on partners and performance.
