Bishkek, Oct. 12, 2020. /Kabar/. In Batken Oblast, a new 90-bed unit of the Family Medicine Center has been completed and put into operation after reconstruction, the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 said Monday.
The hospital is provided with heat and necessary medical equipment. 3 ventilators and 60 oxygen concentrators are installed in the hospital.
"Since Oct. 7, 2020 the new infectious disease hospital unit hospitalizes patients. Currently, 63 patients are receiving treatment there,” the report says.
A total of 538 beds have been prepared throughout Batken Oblast for coronavirus patients.
Construction of new infectious diseases hospitals is carried out in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Naryn Oblast, the works were started at the end of July this year.
An experimental 100-bed infectious diseases hospital in Bishkek completed by 98%.
According to the HQ, an increase in the number of new cases of coronavirus infection is observed in Kyrgyzstan, and deaths are recorded every day.
