New museum opened in Batken

Bishkek, July 2, 2018. / Kabar /. Opening ceremony of a new historical museum was held in Batken oblast. The event was attended by historians from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, Mayor of Batken Mamyrzhan Rakhimov, Stats Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science Zhaparkul Tashiev, governor of Batken oblast Abish Khalmurzayev, rector of Batken State University Abduvaap Zulpuev and the local population.

The Batken Mayor’s Office together with Batken State University initiated the opening of the historical museum.

There are more than 2 thousand exhibits in the new historical museum, some of the exhibits date back to the 1st century AD.
