New National COVID-19 Vaccination Deployment Plan under development in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2022. / Kabar /. The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has developing a new third National COVID-19 Vaccination Deployment Plan, head of the public health department of the ministry Ainura Akmatova told at a press conference at Kabar Agency.

She said that in February 2021, the first National COVID-19 Vaccination Deployment Plan was approved, which was developed with the technical support of the World Health Organization and UNICEF. Later, in August 2021, the plan was updated taking into account the best practices on vaccination issues in the world.

“Today, in connection with the new challenges for vaccination in the world, the third COVID-19 Vaccination Deployment Plan is being developed,” she said.

According to this plan, Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev signed an order “On organizing and conducting immunization against coronavirus infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 in Kyrgyzstan”, where the action plan, communication strategies, training of medical personnel and vaccination were approved.

Also, the Scientific and Technical Expert Group on Immunization was organized in the ministry to approve and use vaccines.
