Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2021 . / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed a Decree appointing Aida Kasymalieva as permanent representative of Kyrgyzstan to the United Nations in New York City, the president's press service said Thursday.
Kasymalieva, 37, served as Deputy Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament since Dec. 26, 2018. In 2017, she was elected as a member of parliament from the SDPK political party.
Previous Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations in New York Mirgul Moldoisaeva held the office since 2016.
