New special product launched in Kyrgyzstan - leasing of highly productive breeding cattle

Bishkek, Dec. 28, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz First Vice Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov held a meeting on the issue of livestock leasing in the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Aiyl Bank OJSC Murat Akimov made a presentation on the development of the dairy cluster, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government Office reported.

According to the information provided, today the domestic dairy industry may become the hallmark of the republic's food industry, specializing in the production of various types of dairy products and other products. The assortment of the country's dairy industry includes hundreds of items and this list is regularly updated with new brands and product lines. In addition, in recent years, dairy processing enterprises have been developing new products for the industry. We need to increase the productivity of the dairy herd and move from extensive to intensive farming. It is necessary to intensify the measures taken to develop the dairy and related industries of the republic.

During the presentation, it was noted that one of such measures could be development of clusters - based on regions specializing in the production and processing of milk.

On the instructions of the government, one of the mechanisms for organizing the dairy cluster is the new specialized product developed by Aiyl Bank - Leasing of Highly Productive Breeding Livestock, aimed at financing the purchase of cows for dairy and meat by farmers on the basis of leasing scheme.

This project is scheduled to be launched in January 2019; 200 million soms have been provide for its implementation.

Having heard the information, the First Vice Prime Minister stressed the need to strengthen the information and awareness campaign among the breeding farms, including among farmers, about the launch of breeding livestock leasing and modern methods of increasing the livestock.

"The government is working to develop a set of systemic measures aimed at the development of agriculture, including by increasing cattle," Boronov said.
