New UAE ambassador presented copies of credentials to Kyrgyz FM

Bishkek, June 23, 2021. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received copies of credentials of Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kyrgyz Republic (with residence in Tashkent) Said Matar Al Kemzi.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues on the agenda of the Kyrgyz-Emirates cooperation were discussed, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Kazakbaev invited Emirati investors to Kyrgyzstan to study and possible financial participation in promising economic projects of the country. In particular, he noted the successful cooperation with the Emirati side in the implementation of projects in the field of education, construction of social facilities, as well as in countering international terrorism and transnational crime.

The Kyrgyz minister expressed gratitude to the Emirate side for the humanitarian assistance provided in the fight against COVID-19, as well as to those affected by the Kyrgyz-Tajik border conflict in the Batken region of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Emphasizing the support provided by Kyrgyzstan to the UAE in the elected bodies of international organizations, Kazakbaev appealed to the Emirates side with a request to support the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Human Rights Council for 2023-2025 and non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.

The UAE ambassador, for his part, expressed his readiness to make every effort to develop the Kyrgyz-Emirates bilateral cooperation. He informed about the interest of the Emirates side in establishing banking ties, as well as in the early implementation of projects, financed by the UAE, for the construction of the Islamic Academy in Tokmok and social housing for vulnerable groups of the population in Naryn and Batken regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Said Matar Al Qemzi conveyed to Kazakbaev an invitation on behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to pay an official visit to Abu Dhabi in the near future.
