Bishkek, Dec. 6, 2022 / Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev received the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kyrgyz Republic Lesslie Viguerie in connection with the presentation of copies of credentials.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, Kulubaev congratulated Viguerie on his appointment and expressed hope for further intensification of bilateral relations. The US ambassador, in turn, informed about the readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of strengthening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United States, both within the framework of the bilateral agenda and at regional platforms, including the “Central Asia + USA” format.
The sides also touched upon the issues of regional security and the deepening of integration processes in the countries of Central Asia.
Kulubaev assured that the Foreign Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic is ready to provide all possible assistance to the Ambassador in his diplomatic mission.
The Kyrgyz minister wished the US ambassador success in his new position in further strengthening mutually beneficial Kyrgyz-American cooperation.
