Bishkek, June 18, 2020 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov at a meeting with the participation of heads of state bodies, outlined 11 main priorities of the government’s work, the press service of the Cabinet reported.
During his speech, the head of government noted that the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the epidemiological situation on the world economy forces us to make adjustments to the economy of Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, the Government is reviewing its economic programs and plans.
The head of the cabinet outlined the following priorities in the work of the government:
- ensure economic recovery and prevent a decrease in GDP below the projected level of 5.3%;
- implement fully reduced budget plans and find additional funds;
- keep the budget deficit at forecasted levels of 4.7% of GDP;
- based on the results of six months, review the Action Plan for 2020 and ensure their implementation;
- provide entrepreneurs with preferential loans, provide state financial support of at least 14 billion soms to business entities affected by the pandemic as part of the implementation of the Government Anti-Crisis Plan;
- develop and approve the third package of comprehensive measures to restore the economy and its further development in the post-crisis period;
- further development of the system of fiscalization of the economy;
- reducing the types of tax regimes and reducing the tax burden for the further implementation of the unified tax system;
- intensify negotiations with foreign partners in order to restructure the timing of payments on external debt;
- continue to implement a set of measures for the development of regions;
- strengthen activities in the field of digitalization: complete the second phase of the Safe City project;
- ensure timely adoption by the Jogorku Kenesh of the bills necessary for replenishing the state budget.
