Next EIGC meeting to be held in Minsk

Almaty, Jan.31, 2020. /Kabar/. The next regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIGC) will be held on Apr. 9-10 in Minsk, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan said during the EIGC meeting in Almaty.

The meeting is attended by prime ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Armenia, Belarus and Moldova (observer country), as well as the chairman of the EEC Board.

Note that, almost 6 years have passed since the signing of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union.

During this time, an impressive list of supranational legislation has been created, which ensures the free movement of goods, services and labor in the common economic space.

14 issues are expected to be discussed at the EIGC meeting, including those related to the elimination of barriers in the framework of the functioning of the domestic market of the EAEU, the execution of previously given orders, the formation of an ecosystem of digital transport corridors, work on the draft Agreement on the regulation of the alcohol market in the framework of integration association, improvement of mechanisms for the use of special protective, anti-dumping and compensation measures taking into account international rules and regulations.
