Bishkek, Apr. 1, 2019. /Kabar/. Ambassador Eric Beishembiyev met President of the Center for Global and Strategic Studies (CGSS) of Pakistan, retired Major General Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery at the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Islamabad, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the CGSS and the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS) of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the signed document, it is planned to establish cooperation between the two leading strategic research centers of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, exchange visits, joint research and publications, as well as forums and seminars.
During the conversation, both sides noted the close historical and spiritual ties between Kyrgyzstan, other Central Asian countries and Pakistan, the importance of their renewal and further development of political, trade-economic, educational, cultural and humanitarian interaction. The signed Memorandum of Understanding between the NISS of the Kyrgyz Republic and the CGSS will be another tool for strengthening the Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation.
