No cases of coronavirus infection in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Mar.1, 2020. /Kabar/. A regular meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus in the Kyrgyz Republic was held on Saturday, the press service of the Government reported.

The relevant state bodies are fully taking all necessary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. For today there are no patients with coronavirus in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the Republican Headquarters, the introduced temporary restrictions on entry into the territory of the country apply to all foreign nationals who have spent the last 20 days in the territory of countries with a high risk of the most unfavorable epidemiological situation.

The list of countries is updated as the situation develops.

At the same time, gratitude is expressed to China, Japan, Korea, Iran and Italy, which were sympathetic to this forced decision.

The Republican Headquarters proceeded from the need to strengthen the relevant infrastructure on the territory of the country to ensure the safety of Kyrgyz citizens and foreigners.

Also, appreciation is expressed to countries that provide comprehensive support to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the Kyrgyz Republic.

In addition, sincere thanks are expressed to the Red Crescent Society for its assistance and support.

Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who have visited high-risk countries in the past 20 days will be placed in appropriate quarantine facilities for 14 days upon arrival.

The Republican Headquarters calls on the citizens of the country to keep in mind their civic responsibility, and not to disseminate untrue information that could cause panic and alarm in society.

The Headquarters members recommend Kyrgyzstanis to avoid gathering areas and remember the need to observe rules of personal hygiene.

The World Health Organization has raised its assessment of the global coronavirus risk from “high” to “very high”.

This is the highest risk level in the World Health Organization's grade.

At the same time, WHO notes the epidemic can still be stopped if the virus is not spread.
