Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2020 / Kabar /. No cases of suspected coronavirus have been recorded in Kyrgyzstan, head of the epidemiological department of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Abdykadyr Zhoroev told at a press conference in the Ministry of Health.
He said that there are 39 types of coronavirus that are common among animals such as cats, dogs, etc.
“6 types of them pose a threat to human health. Since the end of December, when it became known about the outbreak of a new virus, preventive and preparatory work have been carrying out. Medical workers and laboratory specialists are ready. Scientists said that the virus can be transmitted from person to person, but WHO has not yet confirmed these data,” said Zhoroev.
At the end of December last year, Chinese authorities reported an outbreak of pneumonia of unknown origin in Wuhan. Experts found that the causative agent of the disease was a new type of coronavirus - NCoV. NCoV can cause pneumonia, an inflammation of the lung tissue. Infected people complain of shortness of breath, coughing, shortness of breath, and fever. The first patient with coronavirus died on Jan. 9. To date, 17 people have died from coronavirus in China.
