No coal deficit in Kyrgyzstan, says head of State Committee for Subsoil Use

Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2020. /Kabar/. To date, there is no shortage of coal in Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic Jyrgalbek Sagynbayev told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

He noted that there is a heating season in Kyrgyzstan now.

"A total of 2 million 460 thousand tons of coal is needed for the 2020-2021 heating season, of which 240 thousand tons are intended for budgetary and municipal organizations, 1 million 110 thousand tons - for the population and 1 million 110 tons should be delivered to the Heat and Power Plant in Bishkek,” the chairman said.

Besides, Jyrgalbek Sagynbayev specified that 780 points of sale and 300 mobile fuel depots operate throughout Kyrgyzstan.

"I would like to note that currently there is enough coal in Kyrgyzstan, no shortage is observed,” he added.
