Bishkek, Oct. 19, 2021 / Kabar /. There has not been a single case of COVID-19 infection among children, deputy chief physician for medical work of the city children's clinical hospital of emergency medical care Jamila Anakeeva during a briefing in Bishkek.
She said that it is almost impossible to distinguish COVID from SARS in children, because adults have symptoms, for example, such as a violation of taste and smell, but kids can’t tell this. COVID-19 is a viral infection just like any other respiratory infection, so it cannot be distinguished.
“But I want to calm down the population. In our red zone of the children's hospital over the past 1.5 months, there has not been a single case of coronavirus infection among children. This suggests that COVID-19 among children has decreased,” she said.
