Bishkek, May 2, 2020. /Kabar/. There is no fuel shortage in Kyrgyzstan, Executive Director of the Kyrgyz Oil Traders Association Kanatbek Ashatov told Saturday.
He stressed the population is fully provided with fuel and lubricants.
Ashatov added that the market is oversupplied. At the same time, he noted that suppliers were buying fuel and lubricants at the old price when world oil prices had not yet fallen.
"Despite this, oil traders sell fuel and lubricants at reduced prices," he said.
In recent months, fuel and lubricants prices in Kyrgyzstan has fallen from 6.9% to 9%.
Kyrgyzstan's Oil Traders Association predicts that fuel prices will drop by KGS 5-6 more in May.
