Bishkek, May 1, 2021. / Kabar /. As of 09:00 on May 1, 2021, the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border is characterized as stable, according to the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“Over the past night, no incidents or shootings have been recorded. The situation in the villages of Kok-Tash, Samarkandek, Arka-1, Arka-2 and Borborduk has stabilized,” the Border Service noted.
The Osh-Isfana road on the Zhaka-Oruk section, as well as the road in the Tort-Kocho area, have been cleared and opened.

The conflict between local residents on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, which began on April 2, rose to a clash between the military personnel of the two countries.
According to the latest data, as a result of the conflict 154 people were injured, 31 died, including a 12-year-old girl.
On April 29 evening, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan signed a statement and protocol on the cessation of the armed conflict and the withdrawal of personnel and military equipment permanent deployment locations.
