Bishkek, March 26, 2020. /Kabar/. As of 15:00 March 26, no new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Kyrgyzstan, only 44 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed, Head of the Public Health Department of the Health Ministry of the country Ainura Akmatova said at a briefing.

According to her, all of those infected receive appropriate treatment in hospitals.

Akmatova also noted that a team of 11 doctors has been sent to Dzhalal-Abad Hospital to provide care in the focus of the infection.

“They were provided with travel expenses, personal protective equipment necessary for work in infection centers, as well as with food until the end of the trip,” the head of the department added.

She noted the population continues to ignore the authorities' recommendations for self-isolation and continues to gather in groups, walk in the streets.

"The population needs to follow the recommendations on self-isolation rules in order not to spread the infection," Akmatova said.

From March 25 to April 15, a state of emergency is in force in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Dzhalal-Abad, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast and in Suzak region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast.

Movement for all citizens, except for those who are issued with a pass, namely internal affairs officers and medical and civil servants, is limited between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (night time). A curfew is established.

As of March 26, 44 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, 6 people in serious condition are in intensive care, 10 of them have a medium severity condition, the rest - satisfactory.
