No new ‘Delta’ strain detected in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 30, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Kyrgyzstan, no "Delta" strain was detected among those infected in May, the analysis was carried out in a laboratory in Russia, Head of the Epidemiological Department of the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Dinara Otorbayeva told Kabar News Agency.

The analysis showed that 85% of British and 14% of South African strains have been detected.

Kyrgyzstan sends the samples to the laboratory at the institute in Novosibirsk (Russia).

Meanwhile, the country’s tally of COVID-19 coronavirus infection has climbed to 125,003, along with 110,082 recoveries and 2,000 fatalities.
