Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2022 . / Kabar /. There are no obstacles to vaccination of foreigners against COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan. Foreign nationals staying in our country for a long time are vaccinated along with Kyrgyzstanis, head of the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan Ainura Akmatova told Wednesday.
She noted that since coronavirus pandemic has affected the whole world, today all health care systems are interested in increasing the coverage of vaccination.
"If a citizen of another country is in Kyrgyzstan for a long time, then, of course, it is necessary to be vaccinated here. These are, for example, employees of international organizations, embassies, employees of companies on business trips, students or tourists. They may receive two doses here or one here and one - at home," Akmatova said.
Foreign nationals may receive any available free COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccination procedure is the same as for Kyrgyz citizens.
Data on vaccination of foreigners, as well as citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, are entered into the register of vaccinated persons, which is available on the website. Foreign citizens through an online database can print a certificate of vaccination in their home country as well.
Within the framework of international health regulations, information is exchanged between other countries. In addition, all data on epidemiological situation due to COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan are sent to WHO on a daily basis.
Kyrgyzstan started the vaccination campaign on March 29, 2020. The country is inoculating its citizens with Sinopharm, Sputnik-V, Sputnik-Light, Astra Zeneca, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
