Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2021. / Kabar /. No omicron strain of coronavirus infection has been identified in Kyrgyzstan to date, the Ministry of Health told Kabar Agency.
The ministry said that 97% of detected COVID-19 cases are the delta strain.
Earlier the republican headquarters reported that the appearance of a new omicron strain in the country is expected by mid-January of the coming year.
The authorities urge the population to get vaccinated and comply with sanitary and epidemiological rules.
