Bishkek, Aug. 25, 2020 / Kabar /. No one can guarantee that there will be no re-infection with COVID-19, Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Mademin Karataev told at a briefing today.
“As a result of the studies, the highest peak in the incidence of coronavirus was registered from 13 to 19 July. Over the past week, out of 8,718 PCR analyzes, the number of confirmed cases was 4.8%.
Also, the estimated reproductive number was 0.8, that is, this is an indicator of one person who can be a contact person and infect others.
"According to the dynamics in the regions, there is still a risk of coronavirus infection in Jalal-Abad and Batken Oblasts.
It should be noted that, despite the negative rate of the disease, there is a risk of infection. Unfortunately, no one can guarantee that there will be no reinfection. Therefore, it is important not to forget about safety measures: wear masks, wash hands and use antiseptics, as well as observe social distancing,” said Mademin Karataev.
