No recorded cases of coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan, Health Ministry

Bishkek, Feb.26, 2020. /Kabar/. As of Feb.26, 2020 there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Health Ministry of the country said on Wednesday.

The epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan is stable and no cases of coronavirus infection have been registered.

There are 158 people under medical surveillance in hospital conditions, and 408 people under medical supervision at their place of residence.

The National Virology Laboratory of the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance carries out diagnostics using a test system to detect the new coronavirus for all persons observed, and the results are currently negative for all.

The Ministry of Health, taking into account the situation with respect to coronavirus in other countries, on Feb. 24 decided to amend the algorithm of actions, developed in accordance with the World Health Organization (WHO) clinical guidelines.

Thus, given the poor epidemiological situation in some countries, in addition to the Chinese citizens, as well as those coming directly from the city of Wuhan, the 14-day quarantine will be taken all those coming from South Korea, Japan, Iran and Italy (the list will be supplemented depending on the epidemiological situation in the world).

According to the algorithm of actions, thermometry is carried out, questionnaires are filled out, arriving persons are sorted, epidemiological anamnesis is collected, samples are taken from the upper respiratory tract, then, depending on the presence of clinical manifestations, medical supervision is established for 14 days in the organized observatories, in the presence of clinical manifestations are placed in the isolators of health organizations.
