Bishkek, June 23 / Kabar /. Official negotiations on deploying troops of Kyrgyzstan to Syria are not conducted, Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Zhumakadyrov told.
He stressed that the information that negotiations are under way to send military Kyrgyzstan to Syria is incorrect. According to him, this issue was discussed at the CSTO level, however, it was a question of sending only the peacekeeping contingent to the de-escalation zone in Syria.
"This issue was raised only at the level of the permanent council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and has not yet been continued. At this stage, we haven’t received any official offers, accordingly, any negotiations are being conducted.," Zhumakadyrov explained.
Recall that the Russian media published information that Russia proposed deploying troops from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to monitor the de-escalation zones in Syria. In particular, the media referred to the head of the Russian State Duma Defense Committee Vladimir Shamanov and spokesman for Turkish President Ibrahim Kalin. The Turkish official said that this issue was discussed during negotiations with the Russian President's special representative for Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev.
