No virus-associated fatality registered in Kyrgyzstan over past 24 hrs

Bishkek, Aug. 31, 2020 /Kabar/. Over the past 24 hours, no deaths related to COVID-19 have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 said Monday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, novel coronavirus has claimed lives of 1 thousand 59 citizens.

Kyrgyzstan added on Monday 78 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total cases to 43,898.

Meanwhile, 261 more recovered from the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 38,459.

There are 5,533 active cases in the country: 715 of them receive treatment in hospitals and 4818 at home.

According to data of the HQ, the current recovery rate of COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan is 87,6 % and the fatality rate is 2,4 %.
