Bishkek, Oct. 01, 2018. /Kabar/. Celebrations took place in Bishkek on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons. Within the framework of planned events in the Gareev Botanical Garden, competitions on Nordic walking were held.
The tournament in a new kind of sports for people of Kyrgyzstan over the age of 55 was organized by the initiative of the National Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan, the Bishkek Health Promotion Center and the FOFINGO sports enterprise.
Participants in the procession were 70 amateur sportsmen, the oldest of them were 90 years old. About 200 people came to support them, who became spectators of a rich show program afterwards.
