Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2020 /Kabar/. Acting Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov familiarized with activities of a number of enterprises in Issyk-Kul Oblast.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Government, the visit of the acting prime minister to the Issyk-Kul enterprises took place as part of his working trip to the oblast.
In particular, Artem Novikov visited the logistics center in Balykchy town, the construction project of which was partially financed by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. The company employs 30 people, and its storage capacity is 2,400 tons with a controlled atmosphere.
Novikov also got acquainted with construction of a meat processing plant in Karakol, which is planned to be launched in 2021.
Construction work at the facility was started in this August. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund will lease equipment for the enterprise. The production capacity of the plant will be 7200 tons of meat per year and 150 jobs are to be created.
The enterprise itself aims to create a meat cluster, including the creation of a breeding farm, training center, to attract farmers, the development of the meat market.
The acting prime minister instructed local authorities to establish close contact with entrepreneurs and work out the issue of land allocation.
"Despite the pandemic, investors declare their readiness to launch projects and create new jobs. There are many plots in the region with proper infrastructure, which are idle and not used. Projects in the field of meat, dairy farming and horticulture have great potential for the socio-economic development of the region. It is important to ensure their progressive development,” Novikov stressed.
The acting head of the government also visited Aiko-Seiko garment enterprise in Ak-Suu region, which began to produce personal protective equipment during the pandemic.
The enterprise is ready to expand, but notes the problem of the lack of qualified personnel and initiates the creation of educational sewing courses with subsequent employment.
State and local authorities were instructed to work out the issues of supporting the enterprise in terms of obtaining permits to open a training center.
