In order to improve the immune response of population to coronavirus infection, the methodological recommendations on the organization and conduct of immunization of population against coronavirus infection in Kyrgyzstan were updated, the press service of the Health Ministry of the country said.
An immunization with a booster dose began Monday for all citizens who previously received a full course of primary vaccination against COVID-19.
"If necessary, additional vaccination sites will be opened for citizens wishing to receive a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccines. Online training of medical workers involved in the immunization of the population with a booster dose is being conducted," the report says.
Information on persons who received booster doses will be entered into the system with the generation of an electronic certificate of vaccination.
Previously, according to the order of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, only three categories of citizens could receive an additional dose: people over 60 years old, medical workers and people with immunodeficiency disorders.
