Number of accidents decreased in Kyrgyzstan by 37.5% in frames of Safe City project

Bishkek, Apr. 11, 2019 / Kabar /. 42 thousand 881 violations of traffic rules were registered from March 4 to April 11, under the Safe City project, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Eshmambet Amatov told at a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

Amatov said that the number of accidents within the framework of the project has been decreased by 37.5% and the number of injury of citizens has been decreased by 44.4%. The deputy head of the State Committee said that in total within the framework of the first stage 47 surveillance complexes and 20 mobile devices were installed.

In the second stage, it is planned to install 314 systems throughout the country.

“The complexes will be installed in Bishkek, Chui, Jalal-Abad, Batken and Issyk-Kul regions. In addition, cameras will be installed on strategic highways throughout the country,” he added.

The Safe City project has been started working in Kyrgyzstan since Feb.12, 2019.
