Number of checkpoints on borders of Kyrgyzstan with China to be temporarily closed

Bishkek, Oct. 31, 2023. / Kabar/. A number of checkpoints on the borders of Kyrgyzstan with China and Tajikistan will be temporarily closed today, October 31, from 12:30, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

This is due to the update of the Unified System for Accounting for External Migration. Thus, during the day at the Irkeshtam checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Chinese section of the state border, Bor-Dobo-avtodorozhny and Karamyk-avtodorozhny on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border, the passage of persons, vehicles and cargo will be temporarily suspended.

The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic notes that the work to update the Unified System for Accounting for External Migration at each checkpoint will take no more than 1.5 hours.
