Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2021 . / Kabar / . The total number of prisoners in Kyrgyzstan is 8,235 citizens, Deputy Minister of Justice of the republic Kanatbek Smanaliyev said at a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He added that 4 thousand 688 people are in prisons, 1 thousand 817 people are in penal settlements, 937 of them are wanted.
"There are 1 thousand 760 remand prisoners, including 248 women and 28 minors," the deputy minister said.
