Bishkek, Apr.3, 2020. /Kabar/. In 3 months of 2020, 629 fires occurred in Kyrgyzstan (811 in 2019), the number of fires has decreased by 22,4% in comparison with last year.
According to the press service of the Emergency Ministry, the fires killed 7 people (20 in 2019) and affected 9 people (20 in 2019).
17 human lives were saved (29 in 2019).
It is noted that the main causes of fires are careless handling of fire, violation of the rules of electrical equipment operation, violation of the rules of operation of heating stoves and chimneys and child prank with fire.
Of the total number of fires, 64.1% occurred in the residential sector.
The main share of fires occurred in Chui Oblast - 178 fires, the capital city of Bishkek - 110, Dzhalal-Abad Oblast - 81, Osh Oblast - 85, Issyk-Kul Oblast - 71.
