Bishkek, Nov. 15, 2021 / Kabar /. There has been a significant increase in the number of cases of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in Kyrgyzstan, the National Statistical Committee reported.
According to data of the Ministry of Health, over the last three months of this year, the number of registered cases of influenza and acute respiratory infections increased from 11.9 thousand cases in August to 31.3 thousand cases in October.
In October of this year. the largest share of registered cases of acute respiratory infections fell on Bishkek (more than 41% of the total number of cases), Chui region (about 25%) and Issyk-Kul region (more than 13%).
The number of cases per 100 thousand of the population in October of this year in comparison with September it increased 2.3 times, and in comparison with August - 2.6 times.
In the total number of children with acute respiratory infections, the largest proportion was observed in the age group 0-14 years old, the bulk of which fell on the city of Bishkek (36%), Chui oblast (25%) and Issyk-Kul oblast (14%).
