Bishkek, Dec. 15, 2020. /Kabar/. As of Dec. 1, 2020, the number of pensioners in Kyrgyzstan is 687 thousand 154 people, Deputy Chairwoman of the republic’s Social Fund Gulnur Dzhumatayeva said at a briefing on Tuesday.
She reminded that after indexation the average size of pension makes KGS 6 thousand 61 (about USD 73).
Dzhumatayeva added that at the end of 11 months of 2020, revenues of the Social Fund amounted to KGS 49 billion 990 million. Insurance contributions made KGS 29.2 billion, which is KGS 3 billion less than planned.
"Mandatory transfers are directed to guaranteed payments to pensioners. These are basic pensions, preferential payments to families with many children, residents of remote and hard-to-reach areas, pensions and insurance contributions to the military, allowances. KGS 20 billion 432.47 million were needed for these purposes. These costs were fully financed,” she said.
The deputy head of the Social Fund informed 76% of citizens retired by age, 18% - by disability and 6% - by loss of breadwinner.
"According to the results of 11 months of 2020, there are 44 thousand 837 new pensioners in Kyrgyzstan," Dzhumatayeva concluded.
