Bishkek, May 16, 2020 / Kabar/. To date, 2 thousand 146 people are under medical observation in Kyrgyzstan, the country’s Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev told at his Saturday briefing.
He explained that the increase in people in the observation is due to the fact that compatriots who were abroad come to their homeland.
“Also, the number of contact persons with laboratory-confirmed patients with COVID-19 amounted to 5 thousand 228 people. Today, an epidemiological investigation is being conducted very carefully. In most cases, transmission factors have already been identified,” said Usenbaev.
In Kyrgyzstan today, May 16, 6 new cases of infection by citizens of COVID-19 were registered, a total of 1,117, of which 248 cases were infected by medical personnel. Fourteen have passed away.
A total of 1117 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, 783 citizens have been recovered and discharged from hospitals, including 200 health workers.14 patients have died.
