Number of people infected with hepatitis and HIV growing in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Aug. 3, 2018. / Kabar /. The number of cases of hepatitis A is increasing In Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Health Kosmosbek Cholponbaev told during the governmental meeting.

He said that, more than 90% of hospitalized with hepatitis show hepatitis A.

"This situation is caused by lack of hygiene means in educational organizations, in particular in kindergartens and schools," Cholponbaev said.

He also noted the growth of HIV-infected people, 766 people have been identified since the beginning of the year with a positive HIV status.
