Bishkek, July 26, 2018 / Kabar /. The total number of people infected with HIV has increased in Kyrgyzstan by 10%, the Department for Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance told in the report for January-June 2018.
According to data of the Department, 417 cases (6.6) were registered in the country against 367 cases (6.0) in 2017.
The highest incidence rate is observed in Chui oblast (12.4) and the city of Osh (9.6), and Bishkek (13.9).
Also, the incidence of echinococcosis increased by 1.3%, 489 cases (7.8) were registered against 475 cases (7.7) in 2017. The largest number of patients was registered in Osh (42.7) and Bishkek (24.0) at the expense of individuals coming from regions of the republic.
