Number of presidential candidates in Kyrgyzstan is over 40

Bishkek, July 27 / Kabar /. The number of candidates in Kyrgyzstan willing to run for presidency reached 41.

The Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic received today the decision of the extraordinary XI Congress of the political party "Meken Entymagy" of July 21, 2017 on the nomination of Temirbek Asanbekov as the candidate for the post of the president of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Central Election Commission reported.

As of July 27, 2017, the Central Election Commission received 32 statements from Kyrgyz citizens about self-nomination and 8 decisions of political parties, where each party nominates one candidate, except for Ata-Jurt party, which nominated 2 candidates. Thus, the CEC received 41 applications.
