Number of travels from Russia to Kyrgyzstan increases by 10% in 2017

Bishkek, Sept. 9, 2017. /Kabar/. TurStat Agency analyzed the statistics of tourist travels from Russia to Kyrgyzstan for the first 6 months of 2017.

According to data of TurStat, the number of tourist trips from Russia to Kyrgyzstan increased by 10% or up to 116 thousand in the first six months of 2017, and the total number of tourist trips from Russia amounted to 17 million.

Kyrgyzstan ranked the 31st in terms of the number of foreign tourist trips from Russia.

Among CIS countries, the number of trips from Russia to Kazakhstan was 1.275 million, to Azerbaijan – 325 thousand, to Armenia - 171 thousand, and to Georgia - 383 thousand.

The most popular beach and resort destinations from Russia in 2017 were Turkey, Thailand, Italy, Spain, Georgia, the UAE, Cyprus, Greece and Vietnam.
