Bishkek, April 14, 2023. / Kabar/. The number of unemployed registered in the employment services of the states of the Eurasian Economic Union, as of the end of February 2023, amounted to 951.4 thousand people.
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, the indicator decreased by 3.4% compared to the same date in 2022.
Thus, the number of unemployed is 1% of the labor force. In 2022, this figure was 1.1%.
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an economic union of some post-Soviet states located in Eurasia. It comprises of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
The EAEU encourages the free movement of goods and services, and provides for common policies in the macroeconomic sphere, transport, industry and agriculture, energy, foreign trade and investment, customs, technical regulation, competition, and antitrust regulation.
