Bishkek, May 1, 2021. / Kabar /. The death toll in the incident on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border has reached 33 people, First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development Aliza Soltonbekova told at a briefing on Saturday.
She said that a total of 163 people were injured, 49 patients with severe injuries were taken by a special plane to Bishkek.
All victims have gunshot wounds and fractures.
The rest of the victims are receiving treatment at local hospitals in Batken.
The deputy minister also said that a group of psychotherapists, psychologists and clinical psychologists of the Republican Center for Mental Health and the Osh Center for Mental Health left for Batken to provide psychological assistance to residents of the region, evacuated from the conflict zone.
Medical workers monitor the health of the evacuees around the clock. If necessary, provide them with medical assistance, as well as provide free medicines.
So far, 27 thousand 358 people have been evacuated from the conflict zone, 15 thousand 505 of them are children.
