Number of voters at elections decreased after abolition of Form-2: Kyrgyzstan’s CEC

Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2020. /Kabar/. Due to the cancellation of the possibility of changing the electoral address when filling out Form-2, the number of voters in the presidential election and referendum has decreased, Chairwoman of the Central Elections Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurzhan Shaildabekova told at a press conference on Wednesday.

She said that in October, the number of voters increased by more than 20 thousand people. However, according to Shaildabekova, due to the cancellation of Form-2, there will be fewer citizens who will be able to vote in the elections.

On Oct. 22, 2020 Kyrgyz MPs canceled voting in the elections under the Form-2.

Earlier, under this form could change their election addresses.
