Bishkek, Oct. 4, 2020. /Kabar/. The elections of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan were well-organized, Deputy Chairman at the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan Rovzat Gasimov told journalists.
He noted that they observed the election process in various places in Bishkek. International observers from Azerbaijan visited 20 polling stations.
"We would like to emphasize that the elections were well prepared, as the polling stations we visited were well organized and election procedures were respected. All polling stations were quite suitable for free flow of voters. I think that social distancing measures were observed, which is important during the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.
The deputy chairman also stressed the voters were provided with protective equipment in the form of masks and gloves.
Rovzat Gasimov noted that the election process was transparent, with participation of observers from parties and NGOs.
"The precinct election commissions we visited were well trained. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our partners, representatives of the Kyrgyz Central Elections Commission members for the high level of preparatory work they did," he added.
At the same time, Gasimov noted the obvious progress in the use of modern technologies in the election process of Kyrgyzstan.
"Also, I would like to note that we firmly believe that by the end of the day the election process and then the vote counting will be conducted in the same way and we will witness free and fair elections in the Kyrgyz Republic," he said.
