Observer from IPA CIS mission confident that parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan to be held at high level

Bishkek, Oct. 3, 2020 / Kabar /. “I am sure that the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan will be held at a good organizational level,” deputy of the Moldovan parliament, Giorgi Para, who will be an observer at the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Kyrgyz Republic told Kabar Agency.

He said that today they held a number of meetings with political parties that participate in the parliamentary elections and the leadership of the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic.

“I think the CEC of Kyrgyzstan has done a very good job of preparing and holding the parliamentary elections. We received very good information. I am sure that the elections will be held at a very good organizational level. After meeting with representatives of the parties, I concluded that the elections will be held in an honest and sometimes tough struggle, but democratically and without violating the law,” he said.

The observer noted that the innovations that the country introduced in the electoral process - automation, biometrics will give positive results.

He noted that preparations for the elections were carried out at a fairly high level. “Tomorrow, my colleague from Belarus and I will be observers in the city of Kara-Balta, and I am sure that we will learn a lot from our Kyrgyz colleagues,” the observer said.

Parliamentary elections will be held on Oct. 4, 2020.
