Bishkek, Aug. 6, 2024 . / Kabar / . Akzhol Makhmudov from Kyrgyzstan competes in the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament in the 77 kg weight category, where a total of 16 athletes are entered.
He defeated Kamal Bay of the United States in the 1/8 finals and fought against Kazakhstan's Demeu Zhadraev in the quarterfinals.
The Kyrgyzstani lost 1-3 and failed to advance to the semifinals.
If Zhadraev advances to the finals, Makhmudov will compete in the consolation tournament for bronze.
