Olympics 2024: Kyrgyzstani judoka Sherov starts with victory

Bishkek, July 31, 2024 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstani judoka Erlan Sherov started with a victory at the Olympic Games in Paris.

He competed today in the judo tournament in the weight category up to 90 kg, where he started from the stage of 1/16 finals.

Sherov's first opponent was 5-time Pan American champion Ivan Felipe Silva Morales from Cuba.

The Kyrgyzstani defeated him on the Golden Scor and entered the next round.

Thus, in the 1/8 finals Sherov will fight with Tristani Mosakhlishvili from Spain.

Sherov is the reigning winner of the Asian Games and bronze medalist of the World Championship.
