Bishkek, Jan. 10, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev on the air of Birinchi radio said that the omicron coronavirus strain has not been detected in the country.
He noted that if a new omicron strain is detected in the country, hospitals and laboratories are on full alert.
“Two virological laboratories with new technologies have already been opened in the republic, where they will do screening and conduct research with a new strain. In addition, it is planned to open 8 more laboratories,” the minister said.
In conclusion, Beishenaliev indicated that in 70-75% of cases, the new omicron strain is relatively easier, resembles a common cold and does not require hospitalization.
